Tradition

The Brotherhood

The Cleebourg Wine Brotherhood was founded in 1996. Among the aims pursued, the first of course is to make Alsace wines better known, and in particular the wines produced in the communes of Cléebourg, Oberhoffen, Rott, Riedseltz and Steinseltz.

But the brotherhood must also develop bonds of friendship between the confreres, their friends and sympathizers by regularly organizing joyful meetings. Finally, the brotherhood has the task of choosing each year a wine worthy of bearing its name and capable of promoting the wines of the Cléebourg region by their quality and typicity.

Anyone can join the Brotherhood of Four Banns Wines. All that is required is to successfully pass the wine tests during a chapter and to make a "toast" in honour of the wines of Cléebourg at the time of the solemn enthronement.
